One of the most common questions I get asked by people who read my blog or follow me on social media is: What devotionals and Bibles do you like for your kids? When I was asked to read and review the Airship Genesis Kids Study Bible I knew it was one my kids and I would love. (Side note: I get asked to review many items and I only say yes to the ones I truly believe in so you never have to worry about being spammed here!)

I started to take pictures of the cool features and pages in this Bible but then I remembered that Tommy Nelson provides an awesome resource where you can take a virtual tour through the Bible(make sure your kids are nearby for this, they will LOVE it!).  Click HERE to do that.

Also, check out this cool printable that same site provided that you can do with your kids: Be Generous Mission Guide.

Now that you are totally blown away by the awesomeness of this Bible let’s talk for a moment about the “why” in introducing our kids the Bible. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I feel like I read the Bible with my kids and I spend more time asking them to pay attention, or worse yet, breaking up a fight between brother and sister. It can be tempting to give up when we don’t see immediate fruit in their life. But in those moments God reminds me of this verse that was true for me and I know will be true for my kids:

Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

I remember being a child and my parents would take me to church or read the Bible to me and I didn’t always get it. Yet here I am, 15 years later, quoting scripture that I learned in Sunday school. It may not have meant much to me then but it means the world to me now. By the way, thanks mom and dad for investing in me even when you couldn’t see the fruit.
