Happy NEW Year!
I don’t know about you, but I ate WAY too much over the holidays. However, I did enjoy myself with friends and family so I don’t regret the celebrations. But there are seasons for celebrating and seasons for restraining and setting boundaries. If you fell off the wagon(and ate it too) don’t beat yourself up. Get back up, dust yourself off and go again. The enemy comes to condemn us but the holy spirit convicts and redirects us. If you feel shame or condemnation about your diet and exercise choices, that is not from God. Instead, God lovingly redirects and corrects us.
I am so happy and honored that you are choosing to start 2017 with me as your coach on this fitness journey. While I sure don’t have it all figured out I do know the one to turn to when things get uncertain and frustrating and his name is Jesus.
Every year my church does a 21 day church wide fast. We pray about what God is calling us to fast as we enter the new year and dedicate it to Him. I will be fasting sweets and social media(with the exception of checking in to our private Facebook group to cheer you all on). You can join that group HERE if you haven’t already(Because it is a private group some people have trouble accessing it so let me know if that is the case and I will add you).
What is God calling you to fast? When we give the first of our year to Him the rest of it will be crazy blessed in ways we couldn’t have imagined, guessed or requested in our wildest dreams.
The word God gave me is FOCUS in 2017. You will see that theme throughout our workouts as we focus on strictly strength, cardio and stretching. I pray these workouts bless you and your family and bring freedom in this area of fitness.
